Abstract: This research examines the impact of experiential learning on adult learners. The study aimed to explore how hands-on, practical learning experiences influence the effectiveness and engagement of adult education programs. The objectives were to assess the impact of experiential learning on skill development, to evaluate its effect on learner motivation and engagement, and to identify the challenges associated with implementing experiential learning in adult education. A survey research design was utilized, as it allows for extensive data collection from various adult education programs incorporating experiential learning methods. A sample size of 290 adult learners who have participated in experiential learning activities was selected to ensure a broad perspective. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals involved in experiential learning environments. The case study focused on experiential learning practices in Kwara, Nigeria. Findings revealed that experiential learning significantly enhanced skill development and learner engagement, though challenges such as resource constraints and varying levels of learner readiness were noted. The study recommended increasing support for experiential learning resources and training educators to effectively implement and manage experiential learning strategies.
